Too Old To Get Fit? Part II
I thought I'd share this very inspiring video I found on Yahoo today. It reinforces my belief that advancing age should not be made a convenient excuse for not getting fit.
Johanna Quass is an 86-year-old woman who once played for the East German handball team. She did this parallel bars routine during an exhibition at the Cottbus World Cup, held in Germany over the weekend.
To some youngsters, she may already be the age of their great-grandmas. But look at her skillfully perform the parallel bars routine with amazing grace. What an inspiration!
Getting old does not necessarily mean being consigned to moving around with canes or in wheelchairs. Johanna Quass is a shinning example that the debilitating effects of aging can be held back by keeping oneself fit.
Are you too old to get fit?
