Loud Sleep Snoring Indicates Bigger Health Risks

Sleep snoring is generally ignored or taken just matter-of -factly, and oftentimes made the butt of jokes within family circles. That's how lightly this phenomenon is being treated.

But the findings of a new study will make us take a more serious attitude toward this. The new study reveals that loud sleep snoring is an indication of grave health problems that can lead to heart disease, diabetes, and untimely death. This is because loud snoring can dramatically increase the accumulation of risk factors, referred to as metabolic syndrome, which ends up to the aforementioned conditions.

The five risks factors of a metabolic syndrome are: high blood sugar, low HDL cholesterol level, high triglycerides, high blood sugar, and excess fat around love handles.

The study found that those who snored the loudest had double the risk of metabolic syndrome and are most likely to suffer from low HDL cholesterol and high blood sugar.

Worse than loud snoring, snorers at times frighteningly stop breathing for a few seconds, and most are usually not even aware of it. This is a sign of sleep apnea, and the new study finds that sleep apnea sufferers run a higher risk of heart disease.

Sleep snoring and apnea are closely linked to obesity, that's why it is not surprising that a large number of the general population, which is obese by standards, suffers from it.

If you want to eliminate or reduce your risks of metabolic syndrome, forget about the much about hyped sleeping aids and gadgets and go straight to the real solution: get rid of the fat and lose weight.

Usually, discarding the extra poundage should eliminate snoring and apnea along with it. If they persist, have your risks factors checked. Remember, loud snoring is an indication of serious health risks.
